ARTISAN CHEESE REBLOCHON MADE IN THAILAND

The word SALTARA is half Thai, half English : It means Salt Water.

This is a semi-soft cheese, and considered a stinky cheese because the rind gets washed with 'Salt Water' every 4 days to develop an orange coating of pungent distinctive aroma.

The shape looks a bit like the French Reblochon (เระโบลชอง), but texture more similar to the German Limburger or Austrian Mondseer. Again, made with raw cow's milk, this cheese is aged minimum of 6 weeks and up to 2.5 months.
